10 BENEFITS OF SWEAT YOU DID NOT KNOW

We learn it in health classes or in natural sciences or in biology ... sweat is physical evidence that we have an air conditioner included.

Our PE teachers seemed determined to make us sweat indoors and outdoors; Then they told us to drink water to recover the loss of this essential liquid. And that was perhaps the best thing we learned to sweat. In celebration of our increasingly advanced education, it is time to truly understand the amazing benefits of sweating.

1.- Did you know that sweat glands help heal wounds?

In recent years, more and more research has been done on eccrine sweat glands, of which there are millions on our skin. At the University of Michigan, researcher Laure rittie discovered that these glands serve as a reservoir of stem cells that aid in the wound closure process.

"By identifying the key processes of wound closure, we can examine drug therapies with a new goal in mind: sweat glands, which are poorly studied." Ritchie says: "We hope this will spur research in a promising direction."

2.- Amazing benefits of toxin release

What really happens when we "sweat" it? It's true ... we literally release toxins from our body using sweat as the means to get them out.

Some experts agree that we mainly release excess salts, cholesterol, and alcohol. Does this mean that sweat after exercise will cleanse our system, unclog arteries and help with a hangover? Some believe that they have and have even created exercise routines for hangovers.

3.- Sweat as an antibiotic

Who needs antibacterial treatments when sweat releases powerful antibiotics on our skin? If our skin is damaged by a small mosquito cut, scratch, or sting, our glands release antibiotic agents such as dermcidin, which quickly kills invading microbes.

4.- The enemy of kidney stones is sweat

The pain this causes has been called into question many times by the ignorant!

Avoiding kidney stones (stones of accumulated salts in the kidney) should be a goal for anyone with a high-fat diet, a high salt diet, and/or urinary difficulties.

Studies show that people who exercise regularly and are dedicated water drinkers cleanse their system more efficiently and this helps control the appearance of kidney stones. Sweating during exercise causes the body to demand more hydration, which in turn keeps the kidneys clean.

5.- Regular exercise produces amazing sweat glands

In the great fight against disease and obesity, we are moving into new training territories. 5K competitions, marathons, or Iron Men / Women demand intense and regular training sessions.

Fortunately, our body adapts to these times of high demand by increasing the size of the glands to maintain stable body temperature according to the needs of our body.

6.- Contaminants and the magnific sweat cleaning effect

When BPA (Bisphenol A) and DEHP (bis (2-Ethylhexyl) phthalate) were introduced to the modern industrial market, we were unable to determine their impact on our health.

Now everyone agrees that having these chemical compounds in our body is harmful to our health. Impressively, our sweat glands are the main ones in our body to get rid of pollutants like these and others, harmful to our body. Even when it has not been detected in urine or blood, our sweat has helped eliminate BPA.

7.- Sweat is the liquid of happiness for the brain

The proof is in the smiles after the sweat! Exercise puts us in a better mood. But before you think that lifting small weights or casual walks can bring you happiness, consider that you have to SWEAT with heavier workouts or reach the limit of anaerobic training to get the real benefit.

Your endorphin levels are unique and only through trial and error can you find the ideal physical activity that will induce your brain to produce "opioids", to obtain that feeling of "emotion" after a good exercise.

8.- Pain, pain out of here

Those exercise endorphins not only stimulate your brain, but they're also natural pain relievers. Who would have guessed that a run down the block or a dance class could alleviate aches and pains? As noted by sports medicine expert Dr. James Ting of the Hoag Orthopedic Institute, "Exercise stimulates the brain's neurochemical pathways, resulting in the production of endorphins that act as natural pain inhibitors."

As your body gets used to this feeling and your overall health improves, you may even find yourself turning less to aspirin and more to your sneakers.

9.- Sweat has an amazing anti-pimple effect

Pimple appearances are supposed to end after puberty but like a weed, they keep popping up as we go through hormonal changes in adulthood.

Sweat to the rescue! By opening your pores, the perspiration process helps release the grime and matter that gives life to bacteria, which eventually give rise to pimples. Even knowing this, sweat is not everything, removing all the dirt from your skin means that it must be washed. Do not promote the re-entry of dirt by leaving it loose on your face!

10.- Perspiration as your personal air conditioner

We mentioned before that our Physical Education teachers liked to make us sweat, like in the old school. As the day goes by, our bodies adapt to the changes in our environment. Maybe you have been in icy offices, hot cars, menopause, etc.

And you wondered if your ventilation system was spoiled? Exercising regularly, which keeps our glands in shape, helps our bodies regulate their temperature more easily in these environments of modern society.
